How We Got Started
The idea for the Blue Button Foundation sprang from the desire to work towards reducing the girls' education gap in Ghana. Access to education is a complex issue, but our backpack scholarship program is a simple way to provide opportunities for girls who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford the basic necessities to attend school.
Meet The Team
Christina Rosenberg, Founder
Christina Rosenberg is a creative director, designer and social entrepreneur. Her desire to start the Blue Button Foundation began when she was working on the installation of solar powered classrooms in Ghana in 2015 for her brother's company Aleutia Computers. As she got to know local teachers, parents and educational NGO directors she realized that her ability to help make a change was easier than she had imagined - and armed with the right tools and education, easier for others too. Since founding the charity in 2017, she’s jointly sponsored eight young women including celebrating two high school graduations. Christina travels regularly to Ghana.
